Privacy Statement

The North Carolina Surplus Lines Association (“NCSLA”) is the advisory organization created by the North Carolina Insurance Statutes, NCGS §58-21-40. The NCSLA, in addition to its other functions, processes surplus lines policies written to cover any insurance of risks that are permitted to be placed through a surplus lines licensee with a non-admitted insurer eligible to accept such insurance, other than reinsurance, commercial aircraft insurance, wet marine and transportation insurance, independently procured insurance, life and accident or health insurance and annuities for nonresident NC surplus lines licensees, provided such policies are accompanied by the appropriate documentation and filing fee. The NCSLA also disseminates general information about the surplus lines laws and provides educational opportunities for its members. The NCSLA has created this privacy statement (“Privacy Statement”) in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy for its constituents and its membership. The following paragraphs disclose certain of our information gathering and dissemination practices.
